He is preceded in death by his parents Roy and Leola Atkins, son Michael Don Atkins, brothers Harry Atkins, L.B. Atkins, Herman Atkins, and Dan Atkins.
Donnie is survived by his son Christopher Don Atkins. Sisters Marie Nunn, Lorraine Hartwick, and Mary Lou Smith, and brother Dewey Atkins. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other family and friends.
There will be a private burial at a later date in Drummonds Cemetery
