Notes for Lenore Maureen Widner
Lenore Maureen Watson, of Halls, has gone to be with her Heavenly Father on January 5, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Maureen was born on September 6, 1926 to Esker and Bessie Widner in New Tazewell, TN. She had a kind and gentle spirit, was devoted to the care and comfort of others, and was a teacher of all things. She loved and was loved by all who touched her life.
Maureen was preceded in death by her parents, her devoted husband of 64 years JM Watson, son Harold Watson, and daughter Sheila Warren. She is survived by her son Gilbert and wife Connie Watson, daughter Brenda and husband Steve Henderson, brother Tulley Widner, and sister Geraldine Turner. Mamaw Reen also leaves behind loving grandchildren and great grandchildren, and other family and friends. Thank you to Marti Pyle, the staff at Elmcroft Heartland Village, and Avalon Hospice for all the love, support, and care.
Receiving of friends will be held at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls on Tuesday January 8, 2019 from 5:00-7:00pm with a funeral service following at 7:00pm officiated by Rev. Mike Bundon. Friends and family will gather at Lynnhurst Cemetery on Wednesday January 9, 2019 at 10:45am for a 11:00am interment. Pallbearers include Aaron Watson, Jeremy Watson, Corey Henderson, Lucas Henderson, Holly Williams, Clint Warren, and Shane Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be her great grandchildren.
